At Cardiff Met, we take pride in offering our students a supportive and inclusive learning environment. All students have their own strengths and abilities to contribute towards a vibrant and varied community. However, we also know that the impact of neurodivergence can bring challenges, especially when adapting to a new way of studying such as University. This module will show what support is available at Cardiff Met for neurodivergent students and shares some of the experiences of our current students.

Neurodiversity is a term used to describe the natural variation in the human brain, including conditions such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. Many universities are now recognizing the importance of supporting neurodivergent students and promoting neurodiversity on campus. This can include providing accommodations such as quiet study spaces, extended deadlines, and assistive technology, as well as offering neurodiversity training for faculty and staff. By embracing neurodiversity, universities can create a more inclusive environment that values the unique strengths and perspectives of all students.
